Environmental Impact Statement

ZeroGen will commission an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the project early 2010.

The EIS will provide information about the project, its location, existing environmental values, and provide an assessment of the potential impacts on receiving environments as a result of the project's construction and operation. It will discuss and present a range of strategies to address and reduce impacts.

Community consultation is an important part of the EIS process.  There will be an opportunity for all members of the public to provide comment on the EIS. ZeroGen will provide information to enable stakeholders to make informed decisions about the project, its potential effects and any conditions that should be applied to the approval of the project.

When completed, the EIS will be assessed by Government agencies and released for public comment.

Further information, including copies of the Initial Advice Statement (IAS) and Terms of Reference (TOR), will be provided closer to the commencement of the EIS.
