Lucy Snelling has a mix of high level commercial and government experience, a strong legal background, and experience in the resources sector.
For some 14 years she practised as a lawyer, seven of which as a Partner of a Brisbane City law firm. Her practice specialised in commercial, corporate and project work for clients including resource companies and the Queensland Government. In 2001 she joined the Queensland Department of Transport, leading commercial negotiations with the private sector on behalf of the Division, the Department and Government, on rail and port investment projects.
Currently she is employed (on a part time basis) by AGL Energy Limited, working in Upstream Gas (exploration and production).
Ms Snelling has also held a number of appointments, including membership of the Gladstone Economic and Industry Development Board, the Gas Appeals Tribunal, and the Transit Oriented Development Taskforce, and has acted as Chair, Deputy Chair and foundation Secretary of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland.
